Crag 2 Mountain also offer Rope Rigging Skills Course, Climbers Improvised Rescue Courses, Learn To Lead Courses & Guided Climbing Courses.

These Courses are available across the UK and can be arranged on a bespoke basis with your own instructor on dates to suit.

 

WHO IS IT FOR?

For people wanting to rig outdoors climbs. 

This course is ideal for those with some outdoors experience, not yet ready to lead climb outdoors but wanting to get out climbing safely and independently.

This is an ideal step for those working towards Rock Climbing Instructor Training. 

Also, this course is great for parents of children that wish to pursue climbing outdoors safely.

Age: 

Minimum age is 14 years old and there is no maximum. 

Experience required: 

Experience is not essential however, it would be useful to have a basic understanding of traditional rock climbing gear (or attend a Rock Skills Interaction Course or Rock Climbing Development  course).

This course is ideal for anyone wanting to set up climbs outdoor safely.

WHO IS IT FOR?
 

Progressing onto leading trad climbing routes. 

This course is ideal for those with some experience of seconding trad climbs and have experienced outdoors climbing.

This is an ideal step for those working towards Rock Climbing Instructor Training. 

Great for people wanted to become more independent in their climbing. 

Age: 

Minimum age is 14 years old and there is no maximum. 

Experience required: 

Experience of climbing outdoors and seconding routes is essential.

Experience of leading indoors climbs is nonessential but is recommended.

Recommended 2 days but can be arranged to suit your requirements.

LEARN TO LEAD COURSES
This course is ideal for those who have seconded climbs and would like to lead climb traditional (trad). 
Learn to Lead Climb
WHO IS IT FOR?

For people wanting to learn to lead traditional rock climbs. 

This is an intensive course so is ideal for people looking to develop their skills, including rescues knowledge and multi-pitch climbing.

This is an ideal step for those working towards Rock Climbing Instructor Training. 

Age: 

Minimum age is 14 years old and there is no maximum. 

Experience required: 

Experience of climbing outdoors, ideally having seconded trad routes. 

Must be happy with basic skills such as belaying and tying in.

5 DAY TRAD DEVELOPMENT COURSE

An intensive course ideal for those who have seconded rock climbs and would like to lead climb traditional (trad). 
5 Day Trad Development Course
WHO IS IT FOR?

For people wanting to learn rescues in a multi-pitch environment. 

This course is ideal for those who lead climb and would like to know how to solve problems that could occur and how to prevent problems.

This is an ideal step for those working towards Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor Award.

Age: 

Minimum age is 16 years old and there is no maximum. 

Experience required: 

Must be comfortable lead climbing and have a good understanding of standard belay systems and rope work.

This course is ideal for those who want to be guided up multi-pitch routes or those looking to lead climb in more serious terrain. 

This is ideal for those wanting to climb on sea cliff and mountain routes.

Minimum age is 14 years old and there is no maximum. 

Experience required: 

Experience having climbed outdoors rock climbs in a single pitch environment.
