Mountain Training Hill Skills
Hill Skills is your key to getting stared in countryside and moorland walking. If you aren't confident in or would like to learn more about planning walks, navigating understanding the equipment required, understanding weather on the hills, hazards and safety procedures then the Hills Skills is the perfect course to learn.
An Intermediate Navigation course is perfect if you have some experience of navigating but want to learn advance compass skills to get off the beaten track. This course will give you a fantastic day out on the moors and give you the confidence to take your adventures into open moorland terrain.
National Navigation Award Scheme
NNAS offers a nationally recognised structured incentive scheme to achieve levels of navigation to have the confidence to independently discover the countryside. NNAS awards are achieved in three levels; Bronze, Silver and Gold. Right through from Basic to advance navigation. We also provide the NNAS Tutor Award.
Family Navigation courses are great for the whole family. The adults of the family will learn all the same information as a Basic Navigation course but over a shorter walk to accommodate for those little legs on the course. The skills taught to children are adapted to each child and their individual learning level.
Women's Basic Navigation Course
Sisters Georgia (MCI) and Alicia (RCI) are running this courses to connect women and help build your skills and confidence. As female instructors they appreciate the differences for women in outdoors activities, from equipment and physiology to confidence and self-belief. Combine Navigation with our Women's Climbing for our Wild Women's Weekend.
A great course to increase your confidence navigating off the paths and tracks in poor visibility and night time. This course is a perfect for those with some experience of navigating with the use of a compass or as follow on from the Basic Navigation or Intermediate Navigation courses.
