The Basic Navigation Course is the perfect course to take you from following friends, known routes or guidebooks to independently planning and following simple walks. This course teaches you basic map & compass skills and gives you a great day out on the moors.
An Intermediate Navigation course is perfect if you have some experience of navigating but want to learn advance compass skills to get off the beaten track. This course will give you a fantastic day out on the moors and give you the confidence to take your adventures into open moorland terrain.
NNAS offers a nationally recognised structured incentive scheme to achieve levels of navigation to have the confidence to independently discover the countryside. NNAS awards are achieved in three levels; Bronze, Silver and Gold. Right through from Basic to advance navigation.
Family Navigation courses are great for the whole family. The adults of the family will learn all the same information as a Basic Navigation course but over a shorter walk to accommodate for those little legs on the course. The skills taught to children are adapted to each child and their individual learning level.
A great course to increase your confidence navigating off the paths and tracks in poor visibility and night time. This course is a perfect for those with some experience of navigating with the use of a compass or as follow on from the Basic Navigation or Intermediate Navigation courses.
