Course In Detail

NNAS Silver Award


The NNAS Silver award training and assessment course is run over 2 days and designed to give people the skills to navigate in the countryside using the skills acquired at the Bronze level along with the additional skills required to navigate to features and places some distance from paths and tracks.
Accurate compass work is required and an ability to use appropriate navigation techniques to go cross-country, e.g. choosing an appropriate attack point.

You should already have some experience of navigating in the lowlands. You will get the most out of the course if you have already attended our NNAS Bronze Award course, although this is not mandatory.
This course has a minimum of 12 hours of training, including assessment over a distance of 5 - 8 kilometers in terrain which allows for the demonstration of appropriate skills.

Price is Per Person
Maximum of 6 per course and a minimum of 2. (1:1 courses can be arranged)
Accomodation can be arranged if required.
